Thompson Seattle – A new hotel reflects the essence of Seattle’s urban energy
Perched above Puget Sound next to Seattle’s world-famous Pike Place Market, the Thompson Seattle is Seattle’s newest boutique hotel and event center. Thompson Seattle’s 158 guest rooms and seven event spaces offer expansive views over the city and across the Sound to the Olympic Mountains. “We’re proud to open Thompson Seattle as a hotel deeply connected to the energy of the city,” says Amanda Parsons, general manager.
More than 5,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space can be configured for any occasion from an intimate meeting for a small group to a rooftop reception for 250.
Named for historic planes featured at Seattle’s Museum of Flight, the meeting rooms range from 500 to 1,300 square feet. The Grasshopper and Dreamliner meeting rooms can be combined to host a reception for 150 guests in a dramatic setting with floor-to-ceiling windows. Smaller rooms and suites, all with views, can serve as breakout rooms or accommodate a smaller meeting.
The rooftop Nest Lounge features a 1,500 square foot private event space. This outdoor living room impresses guests with views over the city and across Puget Sound. From this vantage point guests can watch boats ply their way across the Seattle harbor or watch the sunset over the Olympic Mountains.
Located at the heart of Seattle’s bustling downtown, Thompson Seattle offers easy access to the area’s cafés, shops and nightlife. Seattle’s famous waterfront area, downtown museums and historic landmarks are all just a short walk away.
