Skamania Lodge, Stevenson

CLASSIC NORTHWEST RESORT IN THE HEART OF THE COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE

Perched on a forested hillside overlooking the Columbia River Gorge, Skamania Lodge lies at the center of a scenic and recreational wonderland. Works of art by local artists adorn the modern lodge that was designed to be reminiscent of the grand lodges of the Pacific Northwest.

Skamania has 22,000 square feet of meeting, exhibit and banquet space in 23 meeting rooms. The 7,000 square-foot Stevenson Ballroom accommodates 500 seated or 600 for a reception. Smaller spaces range from the St. Helens Room that holds 26, perfect for a corporate retreat, to the Cascades Ballroom with a seated capacity of 340 that is ideal for a mid-size conference.

The variety of sizes and layouts of the meeting rooms provides all the breakout space a conference would need. An outdoor amphitheater seating 600 and a variety of lawn areas, courtyards, patios and terraces offer additional activity options. Whatever the size of your event, from a large national conference to an intimate board retreat, Skamania has just the right space. The lodge offers state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and an expert technical staff for support services.

Skamania has a variety of on-site dining options that feature fresh regional ingredients. Full catering services are available to meet any group’s requirements. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the lodge and parking is free.

With 254 guest rooms, Skamania can comfortably host multi-day conferences. Guest rooms boast impressive views of either the Columbia Gorge or the Cascade Mountain forests. Adventuresome guests may want to sleep among the tall Douglas Firs in one of the lodge’s two lavish tree houses.

On-site team building and post-conference activities include an 18-hole golf course, four miles of woodland hiking paths along with tennis, basketball and volleyball areas. Guests can relax and recharge at the full-service Waterleaf Spa.

Thrill seekers can soar through the trees on the Skamania Lodge Zip Line, the lodge’s newest attraction. The professionally-guided tour leads participants over seven different lines and three sky bridges on a two-and-a-half-hour tour.

The prime location in the midst of the Columbia Gorge National Scenic Area gives Skamania Lodge visitors access to an unlimited variety of activities. Museums, breweries and wineries, scenic drives, waterfall viewing and water sports are all available within the region around Skamania.

Skamania Lodge is located on the Washington side of the Columbia River. It is about 45 minutes from Portland and about three and a half hours from Seattle. Portland International Airport (PDX) provides easy access from all major U.S. cities.
