FORMER CHURCH ON WASHINGTON’S LONG BEACH PENINSULA PROVIDES A DISTINCTIVE OPPORTUNITY FOR EVENTS

Perched on a hilltop overlooking a historic fishing village, the Inn at Harbor Village provides a picturesque setting for meetings, retreats and conferences in a scenic locale. Groups will find it easy to get down to business in the casual, relaxed setting. The venue offers a variety of meeting and event spaces for more than 120 attendees.

The church’s chapel now serves as an auditorium and performance space with seating for 120. With unique architectural details, a stage and excellent acoustics, it is perfect for a conference presentation, training session or performance. Large doors connecting the chapel and the adjoining parlor provide the opportunity for additional seating. With space for 30, the parlor can also serve as a breakout room or reception area.

On the lower level, the easily accessible Banquet/Conference Room seats 72 conference attendees in rounds and accommodates as many as 100 for a reception. With a large-screen smart television and podium, the room is perfect for a corporate retreat, workshop or planning session. Individual areas throughout the facility provide space for breakout sessions or small-group meetings. Your caterer will appreciate the large modern kitchen serving this area. The doors of this room open onto a large grassy area. When weather permits, a large marquee tent allows the event planners to extend their event to the outdoors.

Built in the 1920s, the church was transformed into a bed and breakfast with 10 guest rooms about 25 years ago. More recently, new owners Kevin and Leanna Moos have refreshed the common areas and the inn’s 10 guest rooms, offering a comfortable nautical feel to the venue. “Guests and meeting attendees appreciate the character and the country inn atmosphere,” explains Kevin Moos. “Our staff can work with any group to create the kind of space that works for their particular needs,” he adds.

The bucolic seaside setting of Ilwaco offers groups a variety of team building and post-conference activities. The port offers the opportunity for charter fishing trips and kayaking excursions. Nearby, Cape Disappointment State Park features expansive views over the Pacific and a myriad of hiking trails. With additional lodging in Ilwaco only a short walk from the inn and plenty of options in the nearby towns of Seaview and Long Beach, the Inn at Harbor Village provides the perfect home base for a small conference or retreat.
