With the Columbia River gently rolling by, Kennewick, Washington’s Clover Island Inn is a relaxing retreat with expansive views and full-service support for any conference, meeting or event. Located in southeast Washington’s Tri-Cities, the Clover Island Inn offers groups a get-away-from-it-all experience that has easy access to all the region has to offer.
The venue offers four meeting and event spaces that can be arranged in a variety of ways. The large windows overlooking the river and marina flood the 2,800-square-foot Ballroom with natural light. Accommodating 300 in a theater-style setup, the room can also be divided into as many as three separate spaces. The room arrangement is ideal for a large general assembly followed by breakout sessions. The smaller rooms have capacities from 50 to 150 depending on the layout.
The Captain’s Table is a semi-private 1,430-square-foot room that provides additional breakout space. Ideal for banquets and receptions, the Captain’s Table has an elegant nautical theme with large windows. The large outdoor pool deck allows guests to bask in the sunshine.
The in-house catering department will provide the meals and refreshments to meet the needs of any group. The Inn has a variety of audiovisual equipment available and they can assist with bringing in additional outside equipment if necessary. WiFi is available throughout the facility.
With 150 guest rooms, the Clover Island Inn can accommodate multi-day conferences and can serve as the home base for post-conference exploration of the region. Diners can watch the sun set over the river from the Inn’s fourth-floor Crow’s Nest Restaurant. Offering the ambience of the Captain’s quarters in an old wooden riverboat, the restaurant serves a variety of fresh Northwest cuisine.
The Tri-Cities region boasts more than 300 days of sunshine each year, giving groups the opportunity to add an outdoor recreational component to their gathering. There are a variety of opportunities for outings just steps from the Clover Island Inn’s doorstep. Guests can walk or bike on the Sacagawea Heritage Trail for post-meeting relaxation. Dock access at the nearby marina offers the possibility for a cruise along the river.
The Tri-Cities area is one of the largest wine-producing regions with more than 200 wineries within an hour’s drive, so groups may want to consider a wine-tour experience to add local flavor to the conference or retreat. Nine golf courses and an abundance of water-based activities offer a wide variety of team-building and recreational activities.
Tri-Cities is centrally located in eastern Washington. Driving times from Seattle and Portland are about three and a half hours, while it is just over two hours from Spokane. The Inn is located three miles from Tri-Cities Airport that has daily connections to several cities including regular round-trip service with Seattle and Portland.
