The River’s Edge Hotel Unveils a New Identity

Located in southwest Portland, Oregon, the River’s Edge Hotel is only minutes from downtown, yet the picturesque location along the Willamette River will make you forget you are in the middle of a bustling metropolis. “With the Willamette Greenway path at the hotel’s doorstep and beautiful views, you won’t believe you are so close to downtown,” says Paige Carlson, director of sales.

The Hotel has been given a fresh new identity with a Scandinavian-minimalist design following a comprehensive guest room remodel and upgrades to the lobby, fitness center and meeting and event spaces. The 100-room hotel offers convenient access to the vibrant city center while situated in a tranquil location amid Portland’s natural beauty.

Simple materials and clean lines lend an air of tranquil sophistication to the public spaces and guest rooms, while boldly-colored accents and large-scale geometric patterns add a playful edge. With floor-to-ceiling windows, the redesigned lobby sports a polished, modern design highlighted by natural materials, such as a white marble front desk and light wood panels.

One hundred light-filled guest rooms are bathed in a color palette of blues, grays and white with pops of gold, and all rooms offer scenic river or hillside views. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the facility.

Overlooking the waterfront and rolling hillside, 3,500 square feet of refurbished event space, coupled with a 500-square-foot riverside lawn, provide a picturesque venue for business and social gatherings. The venue can accommodate groups ranging in size from 10 to 120 guests. Offering a nod to Portland’s abundant outdoor activities, the six meeting and event rooms have been revamped and rebranded as the Summit, Pioneer, Cascade and Verge Rooms. The private dining rooms, Forage and Bounty, come complete with custom-built Portland oak tables.

Rosswood, the hotel’s re-designed riverfront restaurant, features modern American cuisine with subtle Mediterranean influence. For groups, the chef will provide a dynamic and varied selection of menu offerings. In addition, all events at the River’s Edge receive complimentary valet parking.

For after-meeting relaxation, event attendees will want to check out the Spa at River’s Edge Hotel. At 12,500 square feet in size, the full-service spa is Portland’s largest with 10 treatment rooms and a menu of customizable massages, facials, body treatments and salon services.
