EMP Museum becomes MOPOP

Seattle’s world famous EMP Museum has now become the Museum of Pop Culture (MOPOP). Long a destination for music lovers and pop culture enthusiasts, the museum has always been about more than just music. The exhibits have encompassed all aspects of pop culture from comics to science fiction and pop art. The new name reflects the wide-ranging content exhibited at the museum.

For meeting and event planners, the museum offers one-of-a-kind space to suit any group‘s needs. The 5,384 square-foot Sky Church is an impressive venue for a reception, banquet or concert. With an awe-inspiring 33 foot by 60 foot HD LED screen and with state-of-the-art lighting and acoustics, the room accommodates 300 theater-style or 250 for a banquet. The Blue Lounge, JBL Theater and the Learning Labs offer creative spaces for groups up to 190. They work well for corporate retreats, board meetings and as conference breakout spaces.

MOPOP features unrivaled technological capabilities and the rich collection of pop culture content will make any meeting or event memorable. With an experienced event planning staff, customized catering provided by famed Seattle restaurateur, Wolfgang Puck, MOPOP is ready for any group.

The central Seattle location and easy access to all that downtown Seattle offers makes MOPOP an enticing event space.
