Bend’s Tetherow Launches Meditative Meetings Option
One of Central Oregon’s leading resorts recently announced a partnership with nationally-recognized energy healer Bill Turner to offer breakout sessions designed to calm and rejuvenate participants. The wellness activities are ideal for organizations hosting meetings and events in Tetherow’s new event pavilion. The sessions can be booked for any number of participants and are a perfect way to break up a long day of meetings.
“We have worked with Bill on a number of projects at Tetherow, including breakout sessions for our own employees during company meetings,” says Tetherow managing partner Chris van der Velde. “The employees come out of the sessions clearer, more alert and ready to get back to business. Our own experience, along with the increased interest from planners, led us to partner with Bill to create unique breakout sessions meant to increase productivity and create a sense of wellness for our meeting and event guests.”
Session offerings include an interactive, hands-on wellness experience titled “Am I Breathing? Am I Grounded? Am I Happy?” It will take participants through simple and fun exercises pertaining to breathing, grounding and happiness that will benefit them on both a personal and professional level. Turner explains that, by the end of the session, guests will feel a physical shift in regards to these three questions and will walk away with simple ways to live a more balanced and productive life.
The “ChiGong for Health” sessions are suitable for shorter break-out sessions and are intended to refresh the body and mind. These feel-good sessions are a way to kick off the day for a group of any size. Chinese ChiGong is a unique way of using the mind-body connection for health development and healing of one’s body. It has been practiced in China for thousands of years.
Boasting magnificent mountain views and endless adventures, Bend’s Tetherow Resort is only minutes from Mt. Bachelor, fishing and countless outdoor adventures. It sits on one of the region’s best golf courses, a 7,298-yard Scottish links-style, David McLay Kidd-designed, championship course.
The newly constructed event pavilion features retractable floor-to-ceiling glass doors, allowing guests to take full advantage of the natural light and Cascade Mountain views. With 3,100 square feet of versatile event space, the pavilion is well-suited to host a variety of events for as many as 300 guests. The property offers cutting-edge technology and an experienced catering team to meet the needs of any meeting or event.
