RIVERFRONT CONFERENCE VENUE IN THE HEART OF PORTLAND
Panoramic views of Portland’s Tom McCall Waterfront Park and the Willamette River with Mount Hood rising in the background can be the backdrop for a memorable meeting or event. Portland’s World Trade Center is a light-filled architectural icon in the center of the downtown business and commercial district.
The World Trade Center is an attractive facility for any gathering whether it is a corporate event, an intimate meeting or an elaborate affair. With 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space, the Center offers a variety of unique spaces for groups. The venue’s 12 meeting rooms provide a wide array of configuration options.
Adorned with the flags representing countries around the globe, the Outdoor Plaza brings a European ambience to the center of Portland. The open-air plaza that glistens with elegant lights and impressive architectural details can serve as many as 750 guests for a reception. Adjacent to the Plaza, the Plaza Conference Room accommodates up to 120 theater-style and is ideal for a conference or seminar.
The Mezzanine Level offers six flexible rooms perfectly suited for business meetings. Three of the Mezzanine Rooms can be combined to hold 130 theater-style, while additional rooms are suitable for more intimate meetings or as breakout rooms. The large Exhibit Space is a nice area for conference registration or check-in and can accommodate a reception for 300.
Expansive views through the floor-to-ceiling windows highlight the Bridge Level. This level houses the 220-seat Bridge Level Auditorium complete with comfortable seating, a state-of-the-art sound system and theater-style lighting. The bridge level is also home to two rooms that can be combined to hold up to 125 seated guests.
The floor-to-ceiling glass-panel walls of the Sky Bridge Terrace offer sweeping views overlooking the Willamette River and give guests the impression of being outside while they remain fully covered. The 4,360-square-feet Terrace provides a dramatic setting for a 200-person reception or banquet.
The Center’s in-house executive chef can create a customized menu to reflect the style and theme of any event. From simple break-time refreshments to an extravagant dinner buffet, the catering staff offers a special culinary experience.
Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the facility, and the center can provide the latest in audiovisual equipment and technical support to meet the needs of any group. A large pay parking garage under the building means that attendees who drive will have direct access to the facility.
The World Trade Center’s central location allows groups to have easy access to all of downtown Portland’s shopping, dining and nightlife options. A refreshing walk or run along the river can be enjoyed in Tom McCall Waterfront Park, located across the street from the Center. For overnight visitors, more than 1,000 hotel rooms are located within a few blocks of the venue.
