SNOHOMISH AND NORTH KING COUNTY, WASHINGTON
If you are seeking a region for your next event that is ideally situated between the blue waters of Puget Sound and snow-capped Cascade peaks, you won’t have to go far from Seattle. The natural beauty, wonderful attractions and wide variety of venues for meetings and events make Snohomish County an attractive option for planners. There are plenty of opportunities to explore the best of the Pacific Northwest from Cascade Mountains scenery to fine Pacific Northwest cuisine.
Tucked between Seattle and Snohomish County, the northern region of King County also offers several excellent options for meeting and event planners. The community of Shoreline and the city of Bothell offer the convenience of a Seattle- area location while, at the same time, providing easy access to the sights and activities of Snohomish County.

Meet and Stay
EVERETT
Situated along Port Gardner Bay, Everett is Snohomish County’s largest city with incredible views of the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.
With 13,754 square feet of meeting and event space, the Edward D. Hansen Conference Center accommodates groups of all sizes. Their 11,385 square-foot Grand Ballroom can be divided into four separate rooms and accommodates groups of 15 to 800. Two additional conference rooms and an executive board room are ideal for classrooms or break-out sessions. Amenities include in-house catering, audio visual equipment, sound systems, staging, complimentary WiFi and free parking.
The Courtyard Seattle Everett Downtown debuted in 2016 and features 3,742 square feet of meeting space. The 3,192 square-foot Destination Ballroom accommodates up to 340 guests and divides into three rooms for smaller gatherings. Amenities include integrated audiovisual equipment, on-site catering, a full-service restaurant and free WiFi.
The Best Western Cascadia Inn’s 1,700 square-foot ballroom accommodates 160 guests. Amenities include complimentary WiFi, free parking, audio visual equipment and in-house beverage or snack service.
The Hampton Inn Seattle Everett offers three meeting rooms with a total of 2,318 square feet. The 1,064 square-foot Salish Room accommodates up to 100 guests, and two smaller rooms for breakout sessions or classrooms. Amenities include complimentary water and WiFi.
Set along the waterfront, the Inn at Port Gardner features 1,045 square feet of meeting space with the largest room seating 50 guests. Rooms include a screen or flip charts, coffee service, free WiFi and exclusive catering.
Additional hotel meeting space includes the Days Inn Everett with space for 30 guests, the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Everett with space for 40 guests and the Red Lion Inn & Suites with space for 25 guests.
LYNNWOOD
Situated between two interstate highways, Lynwood has easy access to the Alderwood Mall and the Lynnwood Convention Center. From here, the beach or the mountains are a quick 20-minute drive.
Planners looking for a large conference space with state-of-the-art facilities should consider the Lynnwood Convention Center. With 34,000 square feet of versatile meeting space, the center can accommodate groups of 10 to 1300. At 11,748 square feet, the largest room accommodates as many as 1256 guests theater-style or 1100 for a reception. Amenities include in-house catering, audiovisual equipment, complimentary furnishings, free WiFi and parking for up to 400 guests.
Close to the Lynnwood Convention Center, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle North Lynnwood has 13,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. The 5,400 square-foot Embassy Ballroom accommodates up to 600 guests with theater-style seating and divides into three smaller rooms. In addition, a 6,000 square-foot atrium with gardens and a koi pond offers a distinctive setting for a reception or gathering. Amenities include complimentary parking, “Green Initiatives” meetings, on-site catering, a restaurant and two hospitality suites.
The Homewood Suites by Hilton Lynnwood Seattle Everett is within walking distance of Alderwood Mall. The largest meeting space accommodates up to 180 guests and divides into two smaller rooms for banquets or classrooms. Amenities include in-house catering, complimentary WiFi, parking and audiovisual equipment.
Hampton Inn & Suites Seattle North/Lynwood features two meeting spaces with a total of 1,621 square feet. The larger room accommodates 60 guests, and all rooms have complimentary WiFi and free parking.
Additional hotel meeting rooms include the Best Western Alderwood with space for 50 guests, the Courtyard Seattle North/Lynnwood Everett with space for 40 guests, the Residence Inn Seattle North/Lynnwood Everett with space for 35 guests and the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Seattle North – Lynnwood with a 15-person boardroom.
MUKILTEO
Known for its spectacular setting, the seaside town of Mukilteo has a restored historic lighthouse and the ferry to Whidbey Island. The Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour is an 8-minute drive from the center of Mukilteo.
The Future of Flight Center offers meeting and event planners a unique 41,000 square-foot aviation themed atmosphere with flexible meeting space that accommodates 10 to 999 guests. At 28,226 square feet, the Aerospace Gallery is the largest, with four additional meeting spaces for smaller functions. The 11,400 square-foot Plaza to the Future has views of the center and Mount Baker, and the partially tented Strata Deck features mountain, airplane and tarmac views. Amenities include on-site catering, a restaurant, a 242-seat theater, complimentary WiFi and free parking.
With 3,085 square feet of flexible meeting space, the Hilton Garden Inn Seattle North/ Everett accommodates up to 200 guests in the HGI Ballroom. Rooms come with, pads, pens, candies, free WiFi and complimentary parking.
Staybridge Suites Seattle North-Everett features a dividable 1,500 square-foot ballroom that accommodates up to 75 guests. Boardroom-only space is available at the Silvercloud Inn Mukilteo, and the TownePlace Suites Seattle Everett/Mukilteo.
Perched on a hillside overlooking Possession Sound, the Rosehill Community Center, offers 30,264 square feet of space with a fantastic view. At 3,432 square feet, the Point Elliot Room features floor to ceiling windows, can be divided, and it accommodates 350 guests theater style. In addition, there is a stage, and six classrooms with built-in white boards and screens. Amenities include complimentary parking, free WiFi and a catering-kitchen.
TULALIP & STANWOOD
The Tulalip Indian Reservation features the 4-star Tulalip Resort & Casino, Seattle Premium Outlets and the Hibulb Cultural Center. The Scandinavian community of Stanwood is the gateway to close to recreational opportunities.
The Tulalip Resort & Casino offers 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space and 12 meeting rooms. At 15,000 square feet, the Orca Room accommodates up to 1,600 and divides into three rooms. The Chinook Room divides into four smaller event spaces. All rooms include complimentary WiFi, LCD projectors and drop-down screens. Amenities include on-site restaurants, entertainment and an auditorium for 450 guests.
NORTH KING COUNTY
With 32,000 square feet of meeting space, the Shoreline Conference Center is owned and operated by the Shoreline School District. It is an affordable option for meetings and events. Seating 600, the Center’s auditorium is ideal for a conference, seminar or training session. Fourteen additional rooms offer capacities ranging from 30 to 240 provide a variety of options for breakout sessions and smaller meetings. Audiovisual equipment and support, free parking and complimentary WiFi are available. For catering needs, the Center’s event planning staff can assist in finding a local caterer to meet your group’s needs.
Located in Bothell just off 1-405, the Country Inn & Suites by Carlson is conveniently located near Seattle’s attractions without the hassle of city traffic. The location affords easy access to all the best attractions the region offers. With flexible meeting rooms, the facility can accommodate as many as 150 meeting attendees. The hotel offers complimentary WiFi, on-site catering, free parking and complimentary breakfast for hotel guests.
The Hilton Garden Inn Seattle/Bothell offers 3.500 square feet of meeting space with the largest room accommodating up to 260. The north King County location offers a central location that is easy to get to, while providing access to the natural, historic and cultural attractions in the region. Free parking, complimentary WiFi and on-site catering makes planning your meeting or event an effortless experience.
Out and About
For a wonderful team-building activity check out the High Trek Adventures Ropes Course located midway between Lynnwood and Everett. The outdoor facility has more than 60 obstacle courses and challenges that include balancing, climbing and zip lines. The facility holds up to 75 people at one time and offers team-building packages that focus on activities such as verbal communication, problem-solving and strategic planning.
Ten minutes from Lynnwood, Segway Tours of Edmonds is a great day-trip option for smaller groups with guided and non-guided tours of the seaside town of Edmonds. The Edmonds Center for the Arts adds a touch of culture to any event or business meeting. Edmond’s Puget Sound Express with guaranteed whale-watching sightings adds a slice of Pacific Northwest life. A short drive from Mukilteo, visitors can see the 747, 777 and 787 Dreamliner airplane assembly lines on a tour with the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Factory Tour.
Outdoor enthusiasts will experience old-growth forests, colorful wildflower meadows, seaside vistas and rugged mountain tops on the county’s 560 miles of trails, many of which can be hiked year-round. Golfing can be a fun way to relax, and the county has 17 scenic courses.
For water based activities, Outdoor Adventures and Adventure Cascades offers river rafting and kayaking trips in the Cascades. For a slower paced water experience Hydrology Stand Up Paddle in Everett offers tours for all levels.
Snohomish County is 12 miles north of Seattle, and around a 3-hour drive from Vancouver, B.C. The county’s cities are easily accessed off of I-5 corridor, and with a total of 5,105 hotel rooms, it can accommodate a variety of meetings, events, and conferences.
